Lessons: see the coach, pick the hour, take the lesson

You shouldn't need a friend's recommendation to find a tennis coach. On QORT you see each coach's experience, verified certification, the levels they teach, their price and reviews. Pick an hour from their calendar, pay, and the lesson is booked on the spot.

How it works

Set your preferences

Private or group; near you or by district; time windows and what you want to work on. You can also choose the coach's gender. The number of matching coaches updates live.

Look at the coach

The profile shows experience, lessons given, how many students come back, verified certification, levels taught and reviews. Many coaches give the intro lesson free or at half price.

Day, hour and court

Pick an hour from the coach's calendar. For the court there are three options: the coach arranges it, you book it, or you already have one. Pack lessons settle into the same day and hour every week.

You're booked

Coaches can't decline a request — the lesson is confirmed instantly and messaging opens. After every lesson the coach writes a summary of at least three sentences, which you see before the next one.

Packs, fees and cancellation

Start with a single intro lesson or buy a pack of 5 or 10; the first lesson of a pack is the intro lesson. Coach prices sit within the limits QORT sets. Any transaction fee has its own line at checkout.

Cancelling more than 12 hours before is free; with less than 12 hours to go, the lesson fee goes to the coach. You can move a lesson up to a day before. If the coach doesn't show, you're refunded in full and the lesson returns to your pack.

Private lessons

One to one; intro lesson, 5 or 10 pack. Add a friend by QORT ID, or buy a lesson as a gift.

Group programmes

Eight lessons over four weeks at a fixed price. The coach sets the capacity; if the minimum isn't reached 24 hours before the start, it's cancelled and fully refunded.

Training programmes and videos

For working on your own between lessons there are training programmes: a weekly plan, daily sessions, warm-up and cool-down, exercise videos. They're made by QORT and verified coaches, and free in the first release.

The basics video series covers everything from grip to serve; coaches' videos live in the same place. Which surface to practise on is covered in the court surfaces guide.

Finding a good coach shouldn't be luck. Profile, calendar, reviews — all in the open.

Frequently asked

I don't own a racket — can I take a lesson?

Ask your coach by message once the lesson is booked. If you want your own kit, the store has a beginner kit with a racket, tracksuit and balls.

Is the court included?

If the coach arranges the court, the booking screen shows how it's charged; if you book it yourself or already have one, you don't pay for it separately.

What if I don't finish my pack?

Remaining lessons and the pack's expiry date are on your Lessons screen. If a coach doesn't show, the lesson goes back into your pack.

What if a group programme doesn't start?

If the minimum isn't reached 24 hours before the start, the programme is cancelled automatically and fully refunded; similar programmes are suggested.

What happens if I cancel?

More than 12 hours ahead, it's free. With less than 12 hours to go, the lesson fee goes to the coach. Moving the day is better than cancelling; do it at least a day ahead.

If you coach

In the coach panel you publish your free hours and run private lessons, packs and group programmes from one calendar. After each lesson you write a short summary your student sees next time. Earnings and student reviews are in the panel. Once your certification is verified, it shows as a badge on your profile.
